Training - ARFF

Pre-Training (Done before training starts)

  • Read over SOP

  • Uniforms & Appearance (Make sure they are adhering to policy)

  • Spawn Vehicles

Standard Operating Procedure Training

  • Read through the SOP with the recruits.

  • Answer any questions they have regarding the SOP.

  • Elaborate on everything after you read it.

  • Verbally ask recruits questions to ensure they understand the SOP.

Out-of-Game Training

  • Show trainees how to go on-duty.

    • Voice: Fire Comm, 100-F in-service, Station 4, Active Crash Team

    • Radio: 100-F *STN 4* CT or 100-F *CR40* CT

  • Go over the Airside map and where the Airside & Landside entrances are.

In-Game Training

  • Pre-Crash Landing Runway Preparation:

    • Identifying souls on board and existence of hazardous cargo,

      • Utilizing Fire Control or ATC via /OOC.

    • Identifying the Correct Runway,

      • Utilizing the map and confirming with Fire Control or ATC which runway is expected.

    • Proper Runway Foaming Procedures, and

    • Apparatus Preparation and Staging Location.

  • Post-Crash Landing Ground Operations:

    • Responding to the crash site,

    • Setting up the crash-site perimeter and Triage Point,

    • Establishing ingress paths for personnel into the fire ground and egress paths for passengers to the Triage Point,

      • Identifying emergency exits (if passengers are already evacuating, assist and layout the egress path to naturally fit in the existing evacuation routes).

    • Evacuating the aircraft,

    • Extinguishing operations,

      • Identifying fuel storage,

      • Identifying engine location, and

      • Identifying integrity points.

    • Overhaul

      • Confirm all flames have been extinguished,

      • Check over the Fire Ground for any aircraft fluids that have not been handled,

      • Alongside Port Authority, check involved runway and nearby taxiways for foreign debris and objects,

      • Once the Fire Ground is deemed safe, complete a hand over of the scene to AAI and Port Authority for their investigation, and

      • Pack up equipment and return to quarters.

Post Training

If Passed:

  • Make sure they leave training server & remove whitelist

  • Log the training completion. Click (one per recruit)

  • Ensure the trainee is marked as ARFF trained on CAD

  • Assign them the ARFF tag on TeamSpeak & Discord.

If Failed:

  • Make sure they leave training server & remove whitelist

  • Log the training completion. Click (one per recruit)

  • Can reapply in 30 days
