Summary

  • Coverage and understanding of the SOP.

  • Check uniforms and vehicles for candidates.

  • Go over specific patrol areas and such and correct bicycle procedures.

  • Time of training for completion: 30-45 minutes.

Training Guide

As part of the Bike Unit in San Andreas, we are to uphold the law of San Andreas as a typical law enforcement officer. Our primary objective is community policing and being able to respond in areas with high amounts of foot traffic.

Training will include both an out-of-game and in-game portion that will test the trainees' compatibility to be a part of the division. If a trainee fails, they must wait a minimum of 30 days before getting another training scheduled. If a trainee fails a second time, they will no longer be eligible to train for the subdivision and must be re-recommended to the bike unit again.

Beginning of Training

Trainees will begin with the out-of-game portion of the training in which an overview of the SOP and all information will be covered as well as any questions in regards to policy specifically to the Bike Unit or CRD will be answered during this time.

In-game Training

Trainees will spawn in and equip their uniforms for their specific Department prior to teleporting to the Del Perro Pier substation located on the Boardwalk. Once trainees arrive the trainer will look over and assess the uniforms to be sure they are in order before moving on with the training. If uniforms are not in the correct order, trainees will fail and must reschedule training after 30 days.

After completing the uniforms, trainees will then have an option to save all vehicles necessary for the Bike Unit (they will be able to customize vehicles and such after training in another server).

Moving on to the next settings, trainees will be put through a couple scenarios in which they must apply what they have learned in the out-of-game portion of the training to ensure no miscommunication or issues arise before entering the main patrol.

Finally, trainees will need to complete an EBOC course in order to see how they ride overall and be sure they are not breaking any road laws or endangering pedestrian traffic. A practice lap will first be allowed to give the trainee time to get familiar with the course. After completion of the practice course, they will get one chance to pass the course as the full exam. If a trainee fails the EVOC, they must wait 30 days before retrying the EVOC portion only.

Closing

Requirements to pass are the following:

  • Trainer feels that they read and understood the material.

  • They have passed the EBOC course with no more than 3 points.

  • Trainee has shown professionalism and control throughout the training.

Passed:

  • Trainer must log the completed training in the training form and in the Discord Trainers Channel.

  • Apply the TeamSpeak tag to the member.

  • Apply the Discord Role to the member so they have access to the Discord Channel.

  • Set them as "trained" in the CAD.

Failed:

  • Trainer must log the failed training in the training form and in the Discord Trainers Channel.

  • Inform them they may retake the training after 30 days (1st offense) or they must wait to be re-recommended by their Department head (2nd offense).
